About Me
Rod has spent most of his career in public service spending 19 years with the City of Middletown Police Department and later as the Chief of Police for the City of Trenton. After retiring from law enforcement, Rod has spent the last 18 years working in the private security sector with property and facility managers in Ohio and many other states assisting them with their security needs. Rod's passion for Charter Schools began in 2009 when he joined the boards for 2 drop out recovery schools in Middletown and Springfield. Rod has spent the last 15 years; 12 as the board President with these schools and has served on several other Charter School Boards throughout the state. He was previously active in the state organization, Buckeye Charter School Board serving for 2 years as its President. Over Rod's many years in public and community service, he has worked with organizations that serve individuals with Mental Health concerns, Domestic Violence victims and The American Red Cross among many others. Rod and his wife Kelly enjoy their blended family and their grandchildren.
